Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

We’ll kick off our journey at 9 am, picking you up from your accommodation or the airport in Casablanca. Our first stop is Rabat, the capital and one of Morocco’s Imperial cities. Here, we’ll visit the Mohamed V Mausoleum, Hassan Tower, and the Kasbah of Udaya, with its breathtaking view over the Bourgrag river and the Kasbah of Chellah.
Next, we’ll head to Meknes, another Imperial city founded in the 17th century. We’ll explore the fortified walls, the water reservoir of Souani, and the famous Bab Mansour gate. After that, we’re off to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour, preferably at sunset for the best views.
Finally, we’ll drive to Fez and check into your Riad in the Medina for a well-deserved rest.

Day 2: Full-Day Fez Medina Guided Tour

After breakfast, we’ll meet at your accommodation to start a full day exploring Fez with a private local guide. Discover the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and marvel at the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque and University, the oldest in the world. Feel the spirit of Morocco at the Bou Inania Madrasa and Dar Batha Palace. After lunch, step back into the 9th century at the outdoor leather tanneries and dye vats.

Day 3: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

We’ll depart early from your Riad in Fez, crossing the Middle Atlas mountains through Ifrane and passing through cedar forests where we’ll stop to hand-feed the monkeys. Continuing to Midelt for lunch, we’ll then drive through the Ziz Gorges, arriving in Merzouga.
In the afternoon, meet your camel caravan and enjoy a one-hour camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. You’ll reach your desert camp in time to watch the sunset from the top of the dunes. After arriving at the camp, you’ll be welcomed with hot mint tea and spend the evening under the stars, enjoying a locally cooked meal of Tagine and couscous, a drum party, and story swapping. Sleep under the stars or in a traditional Bivouac.

Day 4: Merzouga – Todra Valley & Mt Gorge – Dades Valley

We’ll rise early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Sahara dunes before heading back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. Our journey continues through the Saghro Mountains, with a short walk through the Todra Gorge before arriving at Dades Gorge for dinner and accommodation.

Day 5: Dades Valley & Mt Gorge – Skoura – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we’ll take a short walk in the gorge before departing for Ouarzazate. Our route takes us through El Kelaa Magona, Roses Valley, and the Dades Valley along the road of a thousand kasbahs, arriving early evening in Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay in a Riad.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Ounila Valley – Kasbah Telouet – Marrakech

On our final day, we’ll visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the “African Hollywood” Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate. Then, we’ll depart for Marrakech, stopping at the UNESCO site of Ait Benhaddou. We’ll descend the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N Tichka pass, with time to enjoy impressive views and visit an Argan oil cooperative. We’ll arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
