3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Skoura Oases - Rose Valley – Dades Valley:
We Depart from Marrakesh at 8 am in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle. We journey over the Atlas mountains, enjoying the magnificent views of the surrounding countryside below visiting the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Stopping here for morning refreshments then continuing onwards to Ouarzazate (approx 1 hour or so) for a delicious lunch prepared locally & Sightseeing. After lunch, we continue along the route of The Dades Valley to reach our guesthouse where we will stay for 1 night. The guest house offers private en suite rooms and an evening meal and breakfast are included.
Day 2: Dades gorge - Todra gorge - Tinjdad - Merzouga Desert : Luxury Desert Camp
After breakfast we continue the drive through Dades valley, visiting Dades Mountain Gorge, Todra valley & Mountain Gorge, as well as other interesting sites, making the way to Merzouga & Erg Chebbi sand dunes.
Arriving in Merzouga, we explore the village and have a drink by the pool. Later, we meet the Camels for a 1-hour trekking through the dunes to reach our desert camp at Erg Chebbi.

The Camel trekking is usually just prior to the sunset in order to enjoy the sun setting over the landscape from the top of the Dunes. on our arrival at the Desert camp, we are greeted with a cup of hot mint tea then we spend the evening under the stars, on the dunes, and beside the warmth of the fireside built especially for you.
You will enjoy a locally made meal of Tagine and couscous (special diets are catered for), a drum party, and story swapping.
Those that wish to can sleep directly under the stars, We cater it for. But your luxury tent looks stunning.. Enjoy the stars because this is a rare opportunity to see them like that. You can fully appreciate the romance and glory of the skies above.
Day 3 : Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarine – Nkob – Agdez - Low Atlas Mt – Ouarzazate – Tizi N Tichka- Marrakech:
Just prior to sunrise, we have a camel ride to explore the area further as we head back to Merzouga village. Shower and a good breakfast at the hotel.
We start our journey back to Marrakesh through the Draa valley as well as over the Atlas Mountains. Plenty of stops for photos. Exploring and lunch as we return to Marrakech. Consequantly, the usual arrival time is between 5 pm and 6 pm.
