We will pick you up at 9 am from your accommodation / ( arrival time)Airport in Casablanca. We will get to visit Rabat one of the Imperial cities and the current Kingdom Capital. Visiting the Mohamed V Mausoleum & Hassan Tower, Kasbah of Udaya with its magnificent view over Bourgrag river & Kasbah of Chellah.
We will continue to the second Imperial City of Meknes, which was founded in the 17th century. We will drive around the fortified walls and stop by the water reservoir of Souani, and famous gate of Bab Mansour.
Heading to the Roman ruines, 30 min drive to Volubilis. You will get an hour guided tour. Preferably to assist the sunset on the sight.
1 hour drive to get to Fez. Check in your Riad in the Medina.
We meet you up at your accommodation after breakfast. Meet your private local Guide to explore the oldest of the Imperial Cities. Visit the medieval Medina and surrender to its archaic UNESCO charms. Wonder at the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque and University, the oldest in the world. Feel the spirit of Morocco in the Bou Inania Madrasa & Dar Batha Palace. After lunch step back into the 9th century at the outdoor leather tanneries & dye vats.
You will be picked up from your accommodation Riad in Fez, to make an early departure over the Middle Atlas mountains through Ifrane, we will pass through the cedar forests and stop to hand feed the monkeys. We will continue to Midelt for lunch and then via the Ziz Gorges to arrive at Merzouga.
We will meet our Camels in the afternoon to take a Camel trekking for 1 hour into the Dunes to reach our desert camp at Erg Chebbi. Each person rides their own Camel and additional Camels are provided to carry your luggage. The Camel trek is usually just prior to sunset, so that you may enjoy the sun setting over the landscape from the top of the Dunes. Once we arrive at the Desert camp, we are greeted with a cup of delicious hot mint tea and we spend the evening under the stars, on the dunes and beside the warmth of the fireside built especially for you. We enjoy a locally cooked meal of Tagine and couscous (special diets are catered for), a drum party and story swapping. Those that wish to can sleep directly under the stars, but there are Bivouacs for everyone. Enjoy the stars in the desert because this is a rare opportunity to see them in this way as there are no artificial lights around, so you can fully appreciate the romanced and glory of the skies above. I assume that there is a toilet in Desert camp, in other time there is a nice toilet, shower, air-conditioning and Pool at the Kasbah Hotel in the Desert.
We will get up early to see the spectacular sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara before making our way back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. We’ll drive through the Saghro Mountains; we will take a short walk through Todra Gorge before arriving at Dades Gorge for dinner and accommodation
After breakfast we will take a short walk in the gorge before departing for Ouarzazate. We will continue via El Kelaa Magona, Roses Valley and the Dades Valley along the road of a thousand kasbahs to arrive early evening in Ouarzazate. Diner and overnight in Riad in Ouarzazate.
We will visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the “African Hollywood» the Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate. We will depart to Marrakech with a visit to UNESCO site of Ait Ben Haddou. We will descend the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N Tichka pass to Marrakech. We will have time to stop and enjoy impressive views and visit the Argan oil cooperative. We will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
The 6 days tour from Casablanca to Marrakech ends, however we still remain at your disposal if you need a transfer back to Casablanca airport.
